Meesha underwent surgery to remove an 8-pound tumor from her head. Check her out now!
Congrats to Meesha! She came through surgery to remove the 8-pound tumor from her head with flying colors, and her surgeon has excellent news to report:
“The results of the tumor came back with the best possible diagnosis we could hope for,” says Dr. Kathryn Kaufman with BluePearl Veterinary Partners. “It is a Grade 1 Fibrosarcoma. This type of soft tissue tumor is typically locally invasive, but has a low percentage of metastasis (spread) to distant areas (for example, lungs). Grade 1 means it has less aggressive characteristics.”
Meesha will need regular rechecks because of her history, but that shouldn’t stop someone from giving her a wonderful, loving home. Might that be you? If so, Liz Gigler, Meesha’s foster mom and the founder of Rescued Pets Are Wonderful in Blaine, Minnesota, asks that you fill out an application at rpaw.org. She reports that Meesha gets along well with other dogs and might make a good sibling for the right laid-back cat.
Full up at your house? Share this video with your friends! You can also donate in Meesha’s name to help the organization’s many other animals in need of veterinary care.
