Meet Jamie Chung’s Pup, Ewok, in Petco’s “Think Adoption First” Video

The actress and her adorable rescue dog star in a video for Petco’s adoption events.

There’s certainly no shortage of wonderful organizations where you can find a lovable pup to adopt. But did you know about Petco’s monthly in-store adoption events at locations across the country? Think about it: You can find a furry friend … and pick up the gear you need to start your new life together, all in the same place.

A new video from Once Upon a Time actress Jamie Chung highlights the company’s “Think Adoption First” campaign, which aims to help pets find forever homes, just like Chung experienced with her cute-as-a-button pooch, Ewok. In the clip, she talks about finding the perfect addition to her family with husband, Bryan Greenberg, who’s also an actor. “We wanted something in our life that would ground us,” she said.

“Opening my heart and home to an animal in need was the obvious choice, and the special bond Ewok and I share is more than I could’ve dreamed,” Chung continued. “Ewok has definitely changed my life in the best way possible, and seeing his playful personality develop has been so heartwarming. I encourage everyone who is thinking of welcoming a pet into their family to adopt, not shop.”

Spoken like a true dog lover. Chung’s partnership with Petco is all about inspiring people to grow their families with homeless pets. Thinking about adding four legs to your home? Petco’s next in-store adoption event will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6.
