Smallbatch Voluntarily Recalls Frozen Chicken Blend for Dogs and Cats

The recall for potential Salmonella contamination affects frozen 2-pound chicken blend.

Smallbatch Pets Inc. of Portland, Oregon, is voluntarily recalling two lots of its Smallbatch frozen 2-pound chicken blend for dogs and cats because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No pet or human illnesses from the product have been reported to date.

The affected 282 cases were distributed to retail pet food stores in California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington through pet food retailers/distributors between Feb. 1 and May 5 of this year.

If you feed your pets this food, check for these lot, UPC and best-by dates:
