If your dog doesn’t have a mini wardrobe of adorable outfits, you’re doing pet parenting all wrong. Kidding aside, there is one piece of clothing that every pup should probably own: a Peruvian Connection handknit sweater.

The nearly 40-year-old brand is primarily intended for humans (think pima cotton ponchos and woven alpaca scarves), but for a limited time, it’s offering a special line of alpaca sweaters just for four-legged friends. Made with leftover yarn by Peruvian artisans, the colorful pullovers do double-duty as both a stylish accessory and a means of keeping warm on those blustery winter days when your dog needs to be walked. Add to that the fact that all proceeds go to the Humane Society of New York, and there’s little reason not to get one of these for every dog you have.

Sweaters cost $49 to $79, depending upon which of the five sizes you choose. Buy the goods online at peruvianconnection.com or at any Peruvian Connection store in Washington, D.C., Boston, Chicago, Kansas City, Santa Fe, London, and New York City. Supplies are expected to last through February!
