This sweet, laid-back girl is looking for the right family.

Yoda is a shy but friendly little girl looking for a special home that will help her blossom into the exceptional companion she’s destined to become.

Name: Yoda.

Age and sex: 6-year-old female.

Breed: Chow Chow and Shepherd Mix.

Size and weight: Medium and 40 pounds.

Coat: Medium and light brown.

Location: Heartland Small Animal Rescue.

Activity level: Low and laid-back.

Likes: Food, watching other dogs, being petted, playing with her foster brother.

Dislikes: Sudden loud noises, drastic movements, going outside in cold weather.

Training: Yoda has been receiving some basic socialization but will need help with training.

Yard requirements: None, as long as she is taken out regularly to relieve herself and walk around a little.

Kids: Best with older kids.

Dogs and cats: Good with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.

Health issues: None.

Her story: Yoda was rescued last December from a hoarding situation in Ohio. She is slowly coming out of her shell and learning the joys of being a dog.

Her ideal forever home: Yoda is a shy, quiet girl who would do best with an experienced, patient pet parent or family willing to teach her social skills and work with her on training.
