Looking for the perfect co-pilot? Kobe is a handsome, free-spirited boy with endless charisma and a passion for playtime. Highly intelligent, confident, and clever, he is not only an exceptional athlete but also a connoisseur of stuffed toys. Kobe prefers to make his own decisions, but will listen when his humans make a good case, especially if toys are involved!

Name: Kobe.

Age and sex: 1 year and 5 month-old male.

Size and weight: Large and 58 pounds.

Coat: Short, white with brown markings.

Location: Wisconsin Humane Society.

Activity level: Medium/high.

Likes: Walks, runs, hikes, shredding plush toys, hot dogs, and belly rubs.

Dislikes: Kobe doesn’t seem to dislike anything!

Training: Kobe knows “sit” and “down” and is working on improving his manners, especially when playing.

Yard requirements: A fenced-in yard is not necessary as long as he receives daily walks and playtime.

Kids: Because of Kobe’s boisterous play style, a home with kids older than 13 or without kids would be best.

Dogs and cats: Kobe has previously lived with other dogs and has enjoyed successful play dates at the shelter. Onsite dog introductions at the shelter prior to adoption can be arranged. He has not been tested with cats.

Health issues: Kobe is a very healthy boy!

His story: Kobe was surrendered by his owner because she was moving and couldn’t bring him with her.

His ideal forever home:  Kobe has the potential to be a great companion in a variety of situations, but one key to his success would be an adopter who recognizes his need for physical exercise and mental enrichment. Kobe would excel in training classes and agility. He would also appreciate an overflowing toy bin and the freedom to shred stuffed toys, an activity that brings him immense joy.

Other details prospective adopters should know: Despite his handsome looks and lovable personality, Kobe has become a bit of a benchwarmer at the shelter. To get him back in the game and into a home, Wisconsin Humane Society has reduced his adoption fee to just $25. He has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and goes home with a free bag of starter food, 30 days of pet health insurance, and a certificate for a free veterinary exam.
