Make This Puppy Lucky: Pablo the Pit Bull Mix

This adorable chunky monkey needs a forever home with a weight-loss coach. Does yours fit the bill?

Meet Pablo, one of the happiest bullies you’ll ever meet! This big, adorable hunk of a guy just wants to make his special someone smile. Won’t you let him be your ray of sunshine?

Name: Pablo.

Age and sex: 4-year-old male.

Breed: Pit Bull mix.

Size and weight: Extra-large and 102 pounds.

Coat: Short and white with brindle spots.

Location: Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS).

Activity level: Moderate.

Likes: Playing with other dogs, human babies, squeaky toys (he goes crazy over them!).

Dislikes: Cats.

Training: Pablo is house trained and knows basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and come, and he is good with recall. Although he sometimes pulls on leash, he stops once he’s told to “slow down.” This smart, affable boy also received an A+ on his dog-to-dog testing.

Yard requirements: A fenced-in yard is not required. Because Pablo needs to work on his figure, daily walks are a must and will be more beneficial for his health than wandering in a backyard.

Kids: Great with kids of all ages.

Dogs and cats: Good with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He likes to chase cats, so should either live in a home without them, or with a cat who is very experienced with nosey dogs.

Health issues: Needs to lose weight but otherwise healthy.

His story: Pablo’s original family had to give him up after their landlord changed their allowance on dogs. They could not move their children out of the school district, so they surrendered Pablo to BARCS.

His ideal forever home: An active home where this social butterfly can gets lots of interaction with doggy friends or siblings, as well as go on lots of adventures.
