Spread Happiness With a Norbert Plush Toy

Buy the therapy dog and picture-book star’s new toy, and a child in need will get one, too!

Who is 3 teeny-tiny pounds, a big picture-book celeb, and doing his part as a pet philanthropist to benefit the 2016 Marine Toys for Tots? None other than Norbert. The sweet therapy dog has just released a plush of his likeness in an effort to “encourage kindness and bring smiles to people around the globe.” It’s part of a buy-one, donate-one campaign that will gift children in need with a stuffed dog toy to play with, hug, and hold.

Sure, Christmas is still nearly seven months away, but here’s an opportunity to start thinking about how you can make a child’s season bright before the rush of the holidays is here. Take a cue from Norbert himself. He’s supported tons of causes including Pet Partners®, Intermountain Therapy Animals, and Lil BUB’s BIG FUND for the ASPCA. And that’s on top of all of his hospital, nursing home, and school visits. The mini mutt – most likely a special mix of Chihuahua, Cairn Terrier, and Lhasa Apso – was adopted in 2009. Today, he’s the inspiring pup behind books like Norbert: What Can Little Me Do?

Pre-order your cuddly white-and-gray puppy plush for $30, and it will ship later in the summer. Then just tuck it away for a few more months and gift it to someone special.
