To promote pet adoption, Bon Appetit magazine set the two dogs up and treated them to a fancy French meal by famed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Jean-Georges Vongerichten is a famous chef and restaurateur in France. In this tasty little video, prepared for our consumption by Bon Appetit magazine, Vongerichten prepares a scrumptious three-course meal for a pair of ravenous pups: Manny the Frenchie and his date, Charlotte the rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

In the video, Manny the Frenchie, already a social media star with ruff-ly one million followers on Instagram and adorned in a bow tie, sits patiently at the table decked with a checkerboard tablecloth, a vase of flowers, and candles. Next to him is Charlotte, who is described as liking the park but disliking the vacuum cleaner.

Both are served by Vongerichten, who has prepared a first course consisting of a cheese omelet with caviar, followed by short ribs with glazed bacon and sweet potato. Early in the video, the question is posited: Will the pups like it?

It only takes a few moments after the lids are removed to get the pretty obvious answer. The omelet took a little convincing, and the short ribs were a little messy. But clearly the winner was the glazed bacon. Paw-licking good!

Good luck to whomever gets the job of brushing those teeth.
