Lena Dunham is best known as the mastermind behind the pop-culture phenomenon Girls, but the Golden Globe-winning actress, director, and writer is also all about using her social media celebrity to help out rescue pups in need. Engaging with her two million Instagram followers, Lena posts pictures of adoptable dogs from the See Spot Rescue shelter in New Jersey.

The pups all have superstar monikers, like Marshall Mathers (named after rapper Eminem), a hound mix blessed with “adorable blonde eyebrows and matching blonde boots.” Then there’s Regina Spektor, another hound mix, this one obsessed with tennis balls.

Recent favorites of Lena’s are a couple of black and grey-flecked spaniel-mix puppies named after the power entertainment duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. What are the odds these smart and playful pups could snag a cameo in the next season of Girls?

Oh shit I think this is my favorite #dogdayafternoon yet… Can you believe these little noodles? No, you can’t believe them, especially because their names are… Tina Fey (left) and Amy Poehler (right) @seespotrescued description: Tina is a precious three-month-old Spaniel mix and she is the complete opposite of a Mean Girl or a Bossypants – this friendly pup absolutely loves to play and is sure to keep you laughing with her puppy antics. She might be playful, but she’s also smart and polite – she’s already crate trained and is learning to sit on command. Tina arrived at the shelter along with her sister Amy Poehler but now she’s ready for her very own human family! Just say Yes, Please to Amy Poehler! Amy is an adorably fluffy three-month-old Spaniel mix. This funny lady loves people and is a huge fan of playtime. She might be playful, but she’s also polite – she’s already crate trained and is learning to sit on command. Just like her namesake, this sweet pup loves Parks and Recreation, and would gladly spend her time, both Inside and Out, with her human(s). Amy arrived at the shelter along with her sister Tina Fey but now she’s ready for her very own human family! Any takers? Amy and Tina are spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccines.
