Make This Puppy Lucky: Millie the Shepherd and Hound Mix

Sweet Millie has so much love to give! Don’t you want to be the one to receive it?

Laid-back, people-oriented, easygoing, attentive, loving. If that describes your perfect canine companion, then Millie is the one for you! This sweet girl wants nothing more than to hang out with her humans and be the center of their world — not too much to ask in return for all that unconditional love!

Name: Millie.

Age: 4 years old.

Breed: Shepherd and hound mix.

Weight and size: Large and 70 pounds.

Coat: Short, black and cream.

Location: Home for Good Dog Rescue.

Activity level: Medium/low.

Likes: Being the center of attention, resting in her bed, chewing on her toys, going for walks, and especially car rides!

Dislikes: Overly boisterous or crowded environments.

Training: Attentive and responsive, Millie takes commands well, knows a few basic ones, and is housetrained.

Alert and inquisitive by nature, Millie loves following her humans around the house and keeping an eye on whatever they're doing. She is a true companion dog who yearns to be near the people she loves. Photos courtesy of Home For Good Dog Rescue.

Yard requirements: While she would love a fenced-in yard where she can run and play, Millie would be okay without one as long as she gets regular walks and exercise.

Kids: While Millie may do well with older children, she would make an ideal companion for a couple or single person who can give her all the attention and gentle affection she craves.

Dogs and cats: Millie can be wary of other animals so would do best as the only pet.

Health issues: None.

Her story: Millie was surrendered by her former owner.

Her ideal forever home: Millie would do well as the only pet of a single person who works from home or a couple who can be with her all day. She would prefer a more easygoing household with smaller bursts of fun and play to keep her exercised and active.
