Make This Puppy Lucky: Terrance the English Mastiff

After his family moved and left Terrance behind, Angels Among Us scooped him up. Might he be your new best friend?

Terrance is a big, loving tank of a fellow who loves nothing more than hanging out with his special people and entertaining them with his silly antics. If you’re in the market for a cuddly couch potato to keep you company and make you laugh, then Terrance is the ideal companion for you! And would you get a load of that mug?

Name: Terrance.

Age and sex: 9-year-old male.

Breed: English Mastiff.

Size and weight: Large and 80 pounds.

Coat: Short and white with brown ears (piebald).

Location: Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in the Atlanta area.

Activity level: Low.

Likes: Treats, bones, food, affection, short walks, and lying at his people’s feet.

Dislikes: Very hot days, being outside for any extended length of time.

Training: Walks well on a leash and understands sit, sit-stay, down, roll over, shake, and leave it. He also enjoys being vocal when spoken to.

Yard requirements: Terrance doesn’t require a fenced-in back yard as long as he is taken outside and walked regularly.

Kids: Due to his size and strength, he would do best with kids 12 years and older.

Dogs and cats: Terrance would prefer to be the only pet. He likes his personal space and can become grumpy when other dogs try to engage him in play.

Health issues: None.

His story: Terrance was left behind at his home when his owners moved away. Luckily a neighbor noticed him and called animal control. Angels rescued him from the shelter in January 2015.

His ideal forever home: Terrence would like to live with a single person looking for a best friend and loyal protector. He loves to be pampered and would be happy just to stay by his person’s side.
