The best kind of dog bed is one that has been worn in and well loved over the years. That’s the kind of spot where your pooch wants to curl up in at the end of a long day of play. But that means you need to find a bed that can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Tired of buying her dog a new bed every six months, Ellen Stockbridge designed a pet bed that stands the test of time. She and actress Lucy Liu share a common vision for dogs and their stylish parents, and the result is Le Roar – a line of everyday luxe, pet-safe dog beds (and towels, aprons, and squeaky toys) that are all made in the USA.
Designed with pet-safe materials and specifically composed so that both the inside pieces and outside cover can be removed and washed, Le Bed is as cozy-adorable as it is responsibly crafted. In addition to hidden, lead-free zippers and a 100-percent cotton canvas outer layer, the idea is that you should only have to buy one bed for many, many years thanks to its durability. And you’re sure to find one you’ll like for that long thanks to eight colors and three sizes to choose from ($155 to $275).
In addition to being highly eco-conscious in her doggy designs, Ellen volunteers as a home visit coordinator for Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue and donates Le Roar beds for raffle at the organization’s annual fundraiser.
