If you need another reason to love Miranda Lambert, we have a few. The country singer started MuttNation Foundation for animals back in 2007 with her mother, Bev. Since then, the foundation has renovated a Tishomingo, Oklahoma, animal shelter. Now called Redemption Ranch, the shelter has large kennels, an intensive care unit, and a nursery. It’s also a no-kill shelter.

As if that weren’t enough, Miranda’s foundation has raised more than $1.5 million for education programs, food, legislative changes, puppy mill rescues, service dog training, spay and neuter initiatives, and veterinary treatments, Life With Dogs reports.

Need more? MuttNation Foundation donated $175,000 last month to various shelters. The donation was part of its annual Mutts Across America: 20 States/50 Shelters campaign.

“When an animal finds a forever home, it’s not just life-changing for the animal, but for the family that gets to receive the unconditional love that animals give,” Miranda told Life With Dogs. “It means so much to me to be a part of that process.”

“We feel so privileged to be able to continue supporting these shelters that truly stand out,” Bev added. “We salute all of the individuals who follow their passion to help animals and defend those who cannot defend themselves.”
